    Requirements

    Job Requirements:
    1. Must have:
    • 3+ years of experience in security research and / or analysis related to vulnerability management
    • Desired industry certification from vendors: ISC2, GIAC, EC-Council, Cisco, Juniper, (SIEM), CompTIA, ITIL, Unix, Microsoft, Oracle, etc.
    • Technical skills preferred: Operating system vulnerabilities, Firewalls, IDS/IPS, UTM, VPN, Web Content Filters, Proxies, DLP, SIEM, Log aggregation and Log correlation technologies.
    • Solid and demonstrable comprehension of Information Security including malware, emerging threats, attacks, and vulnerability management
    2. Nice to have:
    • Understanding of source code, hex, binary, regular expression, etc.
    • Experience with reviewing raw log files, data correlation, and analysis (i.e. firewall, network flow, IDS, system logs)
    • Strong deductive reasoning, critical thinking, problem solving, and prioritization skills
    • Experience assisting the development and maintenance of tools, procedures, and documentation
    • Customer service including the resolution of customer escalations, incident handling, and response

    Responsibilities

    Job Responsibilities:
    • Perform routine evaluation and regression testing of client systems and application patches in a timely manner.
    • Configure, update, and maintain vulnerability platform by performing routine vulnerability assessment scans and remediation / mitigation in accordance with SLA
    • Analyze common network services and software applications in order to discover new and potential vulnerabilities
    • Stay on top of the "vulnerability landscape" and prepare counter-measures
    • Contribute to the development and maintenance of security related processes and procedures
    • Examine malicious code and report findings to minimize harm to systems and networks
    • Review, isolate, analyze, and provide regression analysis of malicious code in order to determine and understand the specific nature of the threat
