Required Education and Experience
University Degree or equivalent, preferably in Management, Business, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field
Language skills- English (Required); Second Language (Preferred)
Proficient knowledge of a Transport Management System
Understanding of transportation rules and regulations; standard processes and business policies
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Skills to effectively communicate to all levels demonstrating expertise, professionalism and confidence
Experience in a shared services, process driven or service center environment
Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g. SAP) and Microsoft Office
Preferred Criteria
Master’s Level University Degree in Management, Business, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field
Training and certification on Six Sigma or LEAN, or similar quality management experience
Experience of working for a multinational organization and working with colleagues internationally
FMCG industry work experience
Competencies

Collaborates with Supply Planning, Customer Services and Retained organization
Leads the Transport team effectively.
Drives Results to achieve the service performance metrics and delivers on benefit realization
Co-ordination of other functions within transportation (export documentation, freight audit & costing, transport analytics)
Partner effectively with external customers and internal transportation retained organization, customer service representatives, supply planning organization, distribution organization with a focus on increased value and benefit realization
Liaise with continuous improvement team to support implementation of operational and system improvements whilst continuously seeking out opportunities to improve current processes
Provide ongoing visibility into transportation movements and performance
Gather improvement ideas from the transportation planners
Review and ensures all shipments have been successfully planned and executed, taken appropriate corrective actions as required
Evaluates operational performance
