The Intermodal Freight Forwarder is responsible for managing the company’s intermodal fleet and for developing a strong and reliable partnership with the carriers.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience in freight forwarding
• Previous experience in rail transportation – great advantage
• The ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• The ability to preplan and make dispatch changes
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• The ability to work very well under pressure
• Very good communication & negotiation skills
• Good command of English
• Good command of Hungarian

The responsibilities of our future colleague will cover:


• Plan the unloading and reloading of the intermodal units
• Plan the intermodal units on diffrent train connections
• Monitor the trains status and schedules
• Maintain the permanent contact with the clients, carriers, railproviders and terminals.
• Contact the transportation companies and negotiate the prices
• Ensure all freight forwarders have proper information for the driver (pick up numbers, etc.)
• Work with operational units to ensure freight needs are met
• Track delivery progress of shipments
• Advise clients on transportation and payment methods
• Negotiate and arrange transport of goods
• Estimate freight rates and record shipment costs and weights
• Verify the insurance coverage of the subcontractors
• Write the transportation orders
• Verify the documents accuracy
• Identify the best solutions to the transport problems
