Technical Developer - Corporate Banking & Securities Department

Essential Technical Skills:
1) 2+ years hands on programming in C++, C#
2) 2+ years development in UNIX and Windows environment
Preferable Technical Skills:
1) Understanding of Summit classic and FT functionalities, and application programming interfaces(financial and etoolkit api)
2) Basic understanding of Financial derivatives
Education / Qualifications Req:
A 2-1 or higher degree in a science subject.
Background/ Work Experience Required:
Work experience in a financial institution within a role that has exposure to IT support and development cycle.
Language Required:English
Special Circumstances-e.g travel, shift patterns: Ad-hoc On-call support and weekend work arrangement. Possible travel to other DB offices.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Technical developers with up-to-date hands-on IT development skills to support Summit FT(version 5.x or higher) system enhancement tasks and key Summit development projects..

The key support tasks include technical assessment and remediation of system related defects, implementation of system enhancement requests, and the provision of technical inputs to the creation of functional specs for business requirements.

The Technical developer will work together with the Senior Technical lead, Summit functional analysts and the Summit management team to support all on-going Summit development activities.

An increase in Summit projects such as Straight Through Processing, Markets Clearing and Summit roadmap implementation (from version 3.8 to V5.X) requires extending the existing team to meet the demanding deadlines set by the business. A minimum level of inhouse Summit expertise are needed to ensure the continuity of key services and the knowledge of the DB specific IT lanscapes are retained.
Summit is a 3rd party system used in the bank to enable trade capture, rate resets, settlement, accounting, documentation and trade data feeds for interest rate and credit derivatives and associated hedge products. The system is used globally in a 24/7 environment and is critical to many of the banks business areas. Products captured in Summit range from Swaps, FRAs, Swaptions, Caps/Floors, Bond Options, Bonds, CDS, FX and MM as well as a wide range of Exotic/Structured products.
