Position Summary

They are currently building a fully automated Platform as a Service which offers internal engineering teams a comprehensive set of tools and managed application services that facilitates every aspect of the software life cycle -- from development to operations. We need someone who can help integrate several services and present them under a single offering. The role of the Sr. Platform Solutions Engineer is a blend of application administration and tools development. It is a hands-on senior technical position in a fast-paced atmosphere. The ideal candidate has prior experience managing 3-tier web applications and strives to solve traditional operations problems through automation and software. More so, the candidate must possess a high standard of excellence, have a strong customer focus, and is capable of technical deep-dives into code, database, load balancer, network, operating systems, and storage.

Requirements:
• Experience creating web services and experience with RESTful APIs is a must.
• Strong coding skills in Java or Python or Ruby with emphasis on writing modular, scalable code is a must
• Experience with open source projects like Docker, Mesos is a plus.
• Experience with PaaS Technologies like Cloudfoundry and Heroku is a plus
• Web development experience: Javascript, CSS, UI Design
• Experience programming with SQL/NoSQL Databases is a plus (MYSQL/Cassandra/MongoDB)
• Provide subject matter expertise with architecting and managing applications based on Java/Python/Ruby.
• Experience with Microservices Architecture is a plus
• Strong knowledge of Linux-based Operating System (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu) is a plus
• Knowledge of Agile development processes, continuous integration, and deployments
• Familiarity with capabilities and challenges of cloud-computing services and cloud enabled applications
• Excellent analysis and problem solving abilities
• Good planning, organization, and work managements skills
• Work with customers to understand project goals, define requirements and scope.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
