Senior Mobile Developer (IOS / Android)

Qualifications:
• 5+ years of software development experience. Of these, at least 3 years of experience developing mobile (iOS and/or Android) applications.
• Extensive design experience.
• Extensive experience developing complex iOS applications for the iPhone or iPad using Objective-C/C++ with Cocoa and other frameworks
• Expert level knowledge of the iOS and/or Android SDK.
• Must have already developed one or more professional iOS and/or Android apps. Must have published these apps successfully to Apple’s App Store and/or Google play store.
• Knowledge of iOS SDK performance tools and optimization techniques.
• Strong background in Object Oriented Programming and Design patterns
• XML & Web services: REST/SOAP
• Knowledge of unit testing frameworks for mobile apps
• Must have excellent communication skills.
• Outstanding analytical skills.

• Goal-oriented and deadline-oriented.

• Experience in team leadership, employee coaching, and providing performance feedback/reviews.

Responsibilities:
• Obtains and reviews requirements from Product Management indicating the business needs and functionalities of the proposed application
• Engages in discussions with Product Management and others on the feasibility of the proposed application and the time necessary to accomplish the work.
• Creates a high level design document that describes the approach to be taken and programming details.
• Partners with Senior Developers to contribute to development of a detailed design, specifying tables, fields, types of data to capture, etc.
• Independently designs and implements complex software applications for specific program modules within a bigger application based on broad requirements. Recognized for expertise in multiple technical areas or products. May research, evaluate, and make recommendations to management on the purchase of new technology to meet the current and future needs of the company.
• Having broad expertise or unique knowledge, is regarded as an Expert within the department; leverages that experience and knowledge to achieve goals in creative ways and coach or mentor peers to the same end. May contribute to development of functional objectives and practices to achieve broad business goals.
• Facilitates collaboration within and across teams for the best possible results.
• Responds to and resolves escalated calls for technical assistance received from production support.
• Works autonomously within broad objectives. Seeks input and assistance as needed.
• Mentor less experienced Mobile Developers including offshore team.

Overview
