Software Engineering Intern - Performance Analysis

Qualifications

You should be studying towards a Bachelor of Science or Master degree in Computer Engineering or related fields. Additional qualifications include:
* Good knowledge of C/C++
* Knowledge of bash, python or another scripting language
* Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems
* Parallel programming knowledge is considered a plus
* Experience with profiling, code optimizations and performance analysis is considered a plus
* Knowledge of the x86 instruction set architecture is considered a plus
* Excellent analytical, debugging and problem solving skills
* Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Good command of English
* Proactive, self-starter, fast learner

Description

You will have the opportunity to work in the System Technologies and Optimization - High Performance Computing team. In this position you will be responsible for collecting measurements in a lab environment, analyzing software behavior and characterizing its interactions with computer systems, tuning and optimizing high performance computing benchmarks and applications.
Analysis of today's industry standard benchmarks and leading software applications is important in designing future processors and platforms. The key outcome is to provide valuable data to software, architecture, and design teams across Intel in order to accelerate and improve the design of Intel(R) products.
