Fast Function Points Analyst

We are actively looking to hire an individual with functional sizing experience gained either using IFPUG Function Point Analysis or Gartner’s Fast Function Points Analysis. An ideal candidate should also have consulting project delivery experience gained while working with a Telecoms company or a Systems Integrator, more specifically having been involved with OSS/BSS projects. The successful candidate should have experience of working on functional/technical design, development and/or integration projects and be familiar with the Application Development Methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile.

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience in requirements or functional analysis, architecture and technical design of SW solutions;
• Functional sizing experience using IFPUG Function Point Analysis, Gartner Fast Function Points Analysis or other Functional Sizing methodology would be an added advantage;
• Experience of IT delivery methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile while working on IT delivery projects in the Telecoms sector.
• Knowledge of IT delivery life-cycle stages such as Requirements Analysis, Functional/Technical Design, Development, Delivery and Testing.
• Knowledge of the Telecoms sector including eTOM, OSS and BSS processes for fixed line, wireless and data service providers.
• Ability to understand IT and Business strategies and vendor management fundamentals.
• Experience in auditing processes would be an added advantage.
• Analytic skills and ability to work with facts and figures; ability to manage budgets.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Works on project deliverables with little guidance. Has a pro-active attitude, generates ideas and inputs to deliverables and has shown successful management of sub or small projects.
• Willingness and ability to both work on an individual delivery basis and as part of a team structure.
• University degree required.

As a successful functional sizing consultant, you will:
• Participate in delivery of strategic IT programmes, within a given timeframe and budget, for a variety of products within the telecommunications industry.
• Conduct Gartner Fast Function Points Analysis based functional sizing of all projects.
• Gather details on project effort in person-days and record the effort against number of resources involved in all projects.
• Gather details on quality of project deliverables such as design, requirements, testing etc.
• Monitor systems integrators effort, performance and quality of deliverables. Measure and track vendor performance KPIs.
• Coordinate with different project teams to collect KPI reporting information and any functional sizing clarifications.
• Work with Vodafone Procurement Company to measure and control systems integrator performances.
• Participate in regular vendor performance audits and leverage information collected on vendor performance KPIs
