    Requirements

    As a Big Data Platform Presales Technical Consultant, your job will include technical pre-sales support with sales / product presentations, positioning and driving proof of concept evaluations. You will also have the ability to help shape the direction of the product through your customer interactions working with product management, engineering and other teams in the organization. You will possess exceptional presentation, written and verbal skills and will ideally be familiar with Big Data Analytics platforms and have a deep technical expertise in information analytics (including enterprise as well as social), enterprise search, knowledge management, database systems, data warehousing, media intelligence, security and surveillance. You will also have the appropriate level of understanding of Big Data concepts and principles, architectures and solutions, and competitive products landscape.

    - Minimum of a Bachelor degree from a University in good standing, Technical Degrees and Advanced Degrees a plus;
    - At least 5 years of demonstrated success in the of field Presales or Delivery experiences preferably in the Information Analytics, Video Analytics, Database, Datawarehouse, BI , Enterprise Search and Big Data Analytics;
    - Robust knowledge in information analytics (including enterprise as well as social), enterprise search, knowledge management, database systems, data warehousing, media intelligence, security and surveillance;
    - Strong experience with performance optimization and tuning;
    - Strong SQL programming skills a plus;
    - Strong knowledge of the Hadoop ecosystem (hands-on experience is a plus);
    - Experience with Linux, Perl, Python, Shell a plus;
    - Vertical knowledge and experience in relevant industry a plus;
    - Ability to travel;
    - Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills. Ability to talk with different audiences. Proven ability to give technical and business presentations, demonstrations and other appropriate methods to close business;
    - Sufficient fluency & credibility in the relevant space to advise customer and add value;
    - Ability to work well with aggressive deadlines and minimal supervision;
    - A real and positive-thinking teamplayer;
    - Comfortable and confident in diving into different scenarios: From C-Level meetings to bits & bytes bake-off against competitors
    - Local language written and spoken communication skills and excellent English.



    Responsibilities

    The successful candidate will be playing a key role as subject matter expert in the Big Data space within a regional team representing HP Big Data Platform in the specific market with a high standing and leadership. She/He will be providing the required technical expertise throughout the sales process to both direct and indirect opportunities.

    - Work closely with their Sales account team to create account strategies, progress opportunities and bring it to closure through the use of effective consultative selling techniques;
    - Clearly articulate HP’s solutions & value propositions;
    - Be responsible for the technical win by delivering sales presentations and technical deep dives to prospects, customers and partners;
    - Impart credible confidence in solutions being fit for purpose;
    - Perform consultative value selling by proactively uncovering areas of pain/problems which the HP solution can valuably address in a differentiated manner including business drivers and competitive differentiators;
    - Understand & solve solutions to those complex problems;
    - Develop trusted relationships with technical counterparts prospects as a trusted advisor;
    - Engage in the complete sales cycle;
    - Provide technical solutions in a professional manner and to agreed timeframes;
    - Address RFI/RFP/RFQ/ITT/ITQ responses in an extensive, formally excellent and timely fashion;
    - Establishing thought leadership by publishing whitepapers, blog posts and innovative demos;
    - Assist in identifying and establishing key relationship of deals;
    - Collaborate across teams to engage additional technical resources as needed
    - Engage in successful POC and custom demos;
    - Research and gather information to develop an accurate understanding of the customer’s technology infrastructure;
    - Enablement and technical refresh through workshops and hands-on training sessions for partners to drive opportunities;
    - Provide guidance to Sales representative on proposal write-ups and provide strategic advice to sales on value added propositions and help discover and new leads/opportunities;
    - Continuously foster knowledge in relevant fields and areas;
    - Persuasively communicates the value of the solution in terms of financial return and impact on customer business goals;
    - Work with Product Management to feedback on issues with current products and provide input around new products;
    - Business metrics and drivers for multiple levels of customer management and appropriately tailors communications to demonstrate value;
    - Maintain own market fluency of relevant trends, competition, architectures, technologies;
    - Represent HP Big Data Platform at key trade shows, events and also as a public speaker.
