Java Developer - Google for Work

Appsbroker is a fast growing organisation and as a result of this growth we are looking for good people to join us on a continual basis. Cloud services is a fast moving industry with constantly evolving web technologies. Our clients include Jaguar Land Rover, Vodafone, Travis Perkins, United Biscuits, Premier Foods & Hovis and other important UK brands.

Appsbroker is looking for Senior/Intermediate Java Developers to help design and communicate complex software architectures using Google's innovative and boundary pushing technology! We work with large companies, so you'll need to turn these requirements into Agile sprints, develop mature well tested and maintainable software, and as a Scrum Master, run a sprint to its conclusion. We'd also love you to mentor junior software engineers and conduct master classes in complex technical areas.

If you're good at:
● Working in small Agile teams with other developers, project managers and stakeholders
● Using Eclipse, IntelliJ or equivalent IDE
● Constructing UML sequence diagrams, workflow diagrams, etc.
● Agile / Scrum team experience / methodologies
● Source code control / release management skills including: git, maven, artifactory
● Java EE Web Fundamentals: Servlets, Filters, Web Authentication, JSP
● Java EE CDI or Spring DI, Guice is a plus
● Java EE WebServices (REST, SOAP)
● Working knowledge of HTML / CSS, HTML5 / CSS3
● Working knowledge of JQuery / Javascript
● Good documentation skills
● Meeting deadlines and delivering tested code
● And estimating time to complete tasks based on stories / requirements - then we want to hear from you!

You're extra awesome if you've got these skills too:

● Google App Engine experience
● Google High Replication Datastore (HRD) or MongoDb - noSQL experience
● Google Cloud Storage or Amazon S3
● Google APIs (OAuth, Maps, Cloud Endpoints, Google Apps etc)
● Have built single page web apps using the above technologies
● Have experience with a MV* client framework such as AngularJS.
● Experience of using Chrome Developer Tools
● Linux experience (RedHat, Centos or Fedora)
● Amazon AWS Cloud experience
● Experience with Atlassian suite including Jira, Confluence and Greenhopper.
