    Who we're looking for

    You will have:
    • Extensive experience of delivering growth within a solution based sales environment
    • High level of motivation, used to work autonomously and achieve revenue targets
    • Entrepreneurial and hands on approach with a proven track record of successfully creating new business opportunities
    • Experience in consultative and solution selling
    • International business experience is preferable
    • Knowledge of selling and negotiating within the hospitality market
    • Must have a proven track record of opening new accounts and maintaining relationships within the consumer retail sector
    • Excellent verbal & written presentation, communication, selling & negotiation skills.
    • Ability to work both strategically and operationally

    Responsibilities

    The Business Development Officer is responsible for planning and managing the assigned client portfolio in order to achieve optimal occupancy, maximizing revenue, and meeting/exceeding hotel profit objectives.

    He/She is responsible for total revenue including group and transient rooms, group food and beverage, meeting room rental, and other revenues, as well as assisting and actively participating in yield management strategies. Strategies include market mix, pricing, status, direct sales, and marketing. Serves as an advisor to the Sales Manager on business intelligence.

    He/She will communicate the processes to follow in terms of booking quality and correct data input into the ERP, toward the reservation and front office team. A very important part of his/her duties is the market process of the hotel’s services to both internal and external customers.

    In order to achieve the designated objectives he/she disseminates sales related information to other department as appropriate, will establish and maintain files on all active accounts he/she is responsible for, and will establish strong relationship with clients from all sectors.

    Cooperation and close work with other departments of the hotel and attending regular meetings on periodical basis is also a part of the job description for this position.

    The Business Development Officer maintains a high level of exposure in the hotel and in major market areas, through direct sales solicitation, telephone contact and written communication and builds an efficient team of employees by taking an active interest in welfare, safety and development of self and colleagues.
