Embedded Linux Software Architect for AUTOSAR - AST&CES (TSR)

The Chassis & Safety Division develops and produces electronic and hydraulic brake and chassis control systems, sensors, driver assistance systems, air bag control systems, washer systems and electronic air suspension systems. Its core competence is the integration of active and passive driving safety into ContiGuard®.

For our System Operating Platform you will perform research activities for defining the architecture of a future product based on Linux and you will technical lead the development of the SW going through all the steps from requirements to system testing. The main goal of your activity will be to coordinate the development of Linux and AUTOSAR basic software in new platforms for high-performance computing for embedded automotive applications. Your responsibilities will be to:

* design and implement of new software architectures based on Linux and AUTOSAR for high-performance computing platforms for embedded automotive applications;
* understand AUTOSAR software specifications and the particularities of using an embedded Linux operating system;
* technical lead and coordinate of development activities until introduction to series;
* perform requirements engineering activities;
* elaborate the technical documentation and reports;
* manage technical contacts to customers, stakeholders and development partners. For your daily work you have to work with professional software development environments,
debuggers, Automatic Module Test generation (RTR), communication bus simulation and development tool, AUTOSAR CESSAR Configuration Tool, Eclipse Development environment without losing sight of quality and Continental Automotive processes. You will join a young and motivated team to support our worldwide developed projects for automotive customers. A mentor will support you to stepwise take over own responsibility after an initial training phase which will familiarize you with our products, tools, processes and organization

Job Requirements
* university degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Electronics and Telecommunication, Informatics);
* 3 to 5 years experience in development and/or integration of Linux based for embedded applications;
* experience in sofware design and architecture;
* microcontrollers knowledge;
* knowledge of Linux kernel architecture;
* excellent programming skills in ANSI C;
* good object-oriented programming skills, preferably in Java, C++;
* knowledge of modeling languages;
* good writing, reading and speaking English skills;
* Result orientation, good communication skills, good ability to analyze and organize, team player. It is a plus:
* master's Degree or PhD in a relevant field;
* Familiarity with model-driven engineering;
* Familiarity with technologies for high-performance computing;
* Familiarity with software platforms for embedded automotive applications;
* AUTOSAR knowledge.
