    Cerinte

    Compulsory skills:
    • Knowledge of Cisco VoIP technology, including Call Manager, Unity Connection, IPCC Express, voice gateways, and CUP;
    • CCNA/CCVA, certification;
    • Experience in using Cisco telephony management products;
    • Strong network troubleshooting/problem resolutions, protocol analysis, network troubleshooting/problem determination skills with network trace/capture/analysis software;
    • Excellent written and oral communication in English (German is considered a plus);
    • Relevant work experience as a voice support engineer/network support engineer;
    • Proficient with packet capture tools (Sniffer, InfiniStream, Wireshark);
    • Knowledge of DNS and DHCP; Ability to extract data from network devices and present clear and meaningful trends on the network; Strong oral, written and interpersonal skills required for client interaction.




    Nice to have skills:
    • Knowledge of operational support for routing/switching protocols in complex network environments including OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, RIP, Spanning Tree, 802.1q, 802.1x, 802.3af (PoE), etc.;
    • Experience with the following: NAT, route redistribution, policy routing, HSRP, VRRP traffic policing/rate limiting, network load balancing, access control lists, route maps;
    • Knowledge of IP multicast, troubleshooting and routing solutions (IP PIM Sparse/Dense Modes, IGMP v1, 2 and 3, RP);
    • Basic QoS knowledge;
    • Platform experience with any of the following hardware vendors: Cisco ASR1000, 7500, 7200, 3725, 2800, 2600, 831 series routers, Cisco 6500 Sup/MSFC, 4500, 3750, 2950, 2950-LRE series switches (Native and Hybrid IOS) and Cisco Pix/ASA Firewalls;
    • Knowledge of IPSEC/3DES VPN's and Remote Access Solutions;
    • Experience with firewall administration of Cisco ASA/PIX; Able to troubleshoot application performance or voice issue from a network perspective in a timely manner;
    • Strong knowledge of TCP/UDP/RTP Protocol analysis

    Responsabilitati

    Tasks and Activities

    • Analyze and tune performance of strategic network infrastructure.
    • Use protocol analyzer to troubleshoot and verify proper operation of complex configurations/applications;
    • Troubleshoot end to end connectivity problems with various groups such as Level I and II support and System Engineers/Operations teams;
    • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network problems to ensure minimal disruption;
    • Document Standard Operating Procedures and adhere to company policies, guidelines, and configuration standards for all aspects of the network; Implement new and current technologies within the Regional Data Centers.
    • Advance level of network support and performance monitoring for a 24x7 Regional Data Center.
