JAVA SOFTWARE DEVELOPER INTERMEDIATE

1) EDUCATION
- Bachelor degree or Master degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
2) REQUIRED QUALIFICATION
- 3+ years of experience developing applications in Java
- 2+ years experience developing web applications with JSP and Servlets, jscript; DOJO and jQuery knowledge is an asset
- 1+ years experience in web services development
- Knowledge of hibernate or another ORM
- Unit tests development
- Struts framework knowledge and Spring or any Jakarta projects is considered an asset
- XML technology knowledge, XSL, XPath, XQuery, DTD, XML Schema.
- Analysis and design skills, capability to understand the requirements document
- Strong background in applying formal development methodologies, including knowledge of use cases, requirements analysis, UML;
- SQL knowledge
- Experience in using application servers Java (Tomcat, WebLogic): basic administration tasks, memory tuning, diagnostics, war deployments.
3) SKILLS
- Strong communication skills in English (French is an asset)
- Good problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong team player
- Make-it-work attitude under firm deadlines
- Ability to work under pressure
- Willing to travel abroad twice a year

- Writing design documents and functional specifications
- Participating in design and code reviews
- Developing and unit testing new software
- Debugging and fixing bugs during stabilization of the software
- Installation and configuration of system components (hardware and software)
- Supporting the system post deployment
