Supervising / Senior Consultant, Tax Advisory Services

Candidates should have a qualification in the economic field and 3 - 5 years of experience in the tax advisory area (experience and technical background in tax consultancy); should be autonomous and business-oriented; have capacity to solve complex issues in a pragmatic manner, and also have experience in managing and motivating teams.
They should have good analytical skills and computer skills (MS Office), professional attitude, should be reliable and sociable.

Excellent oral and written communication skills in Romanian and English are compulsory, while French and / or German are an advantage.

The Senior Tax Consultant will use its knowledge of tax legislation to provide advisory and consultancy services to clients. He/she must keep up to date with changing tax laws and be able to understand and explain the legislation and its implications to their clients. He/she will have the opportunity to gain experience in all areas of national and international taxation.

As members of our professional team, consultants will have to prove proactive and thinking in approaching the engagements, being involved in various consultancy projects and maintaining the communication with their colleagues and client’s top representatives, will perform independent work, coordinate team members and prepare or validate the documents which are to be delivered to the clients. Our consultants support the teams in delivering quality advice to the client and pursue new business opportunities.

Their key responsibilities will include:
- Advise clients in different industries on various tax matters;
- Work in compliance, ensuring that the client meets all tax obligations
- Monitor multiple client engagements;
- Research for international and domestic tax matters;
- Assistance in developing and implementing tax planning services;
- Training and mentoring junior staff;
- Assistance for Managers and Partners in business development (drafting presentations and proposals, attending client meetings, etc.)

Reporting to the Manager and the Partner, the Tax Senior Consultant or will focus on:
- Tax compliance, Tax structuring and general tax advice for medium-sized companies in various sectors
- Transaction services and tax-related consulting
- Relationship with and business development of existing and new clients
- Development of the international business opportunities across Mazars worldwide
