Junior Message Broker Developer

We need expertise in the following key areas:

• Linux/Unix skills – filesystem understanding, basic commands, CLI experience;
• SQL – DML and DDL statements, understanding of Database concepts and administration;
• Nice to have or willingness to learn: Wepshere MQ, XML, XSD, XSLT understanding, integration concepts and architecture models.
• Soft skills: Analytical thinking, ability to challenge, self-confidence, autonomy;

What will your role be?
• Maintenance and monitoring to systems providing integration services to the group. More in detail:
• Exchange of messages and files between different applications within and outside of Electrabel using Websphere Message Broker Datapower ESB and sFTP tools. Monitoring is done via Tivoli and Websphere Business Monitoring.
• Reporting according to Service and/or Operational Level Agreements (OLAs) with the customers;
• Analyze and tracking of data processes on customer’s request.
• Ensure and support service availability for customers: 24/7 on call weekly guard duty on rotational basis;
• Occasional outside business hours and/or weekend support when necessary.
• Contribution to the entire software development life cycle (SDLC).
