What do I need to qualify for this job?
- Degree in mechanical/mechatronics engineering
- Minimum 6 years experience working as mechanical design engineer
- Solid understanding of technical submittals and good knowledge of the design process
- Relevant experience of FEM calculation for static and dynamic material behavior; thermal analysis and electronic system cooling
- Experience of a 3D package such as Pro Engineer, Solid Works, Solid Edge, NX
- Familiar with technical documentation (manuals, according to VDE standards, SAP access for data handling)

Nice to have:
- Knowledge of electronics
- Thermal analysis with NX Electronic System Cooling
- Simulation of e.g. magnetic fields in generators with ANSYS, MAXWELL, etc.

As a mechanical design engineer you will be a part of a multi skilled generator project team, covering competences within mechanical design (CAD), mechanical calculation (FEM), cooling design, test & validation, electromagnetic design and control.

We aim for making integrated product development, and your technical solution must minimize the lifecycle cost, taking safety, function, reliability, production, transportation, installation and service into consideration. Your job will be to:

- Design mechanical system
- Design mechanical components in 3D/2D
- Tolerance calculation
- FEM calculation
- Specify mechanical components
- Specify test requirements
- Implement the design in our production and at our suppliers
- Make the Bill of material for your design

What else do I need to know?
- Occasional traveling is required for trainings and meetings
