IDEAL CANDIDATE

Partial life cycle responsibilities, including requirements, design, and development
Advanced database development experience (Oracle SQL/PLSQL)
Mastery of SQL analysis and tuning
Familiar with SQL*Plus and Oracle enterprise manager
Familiar with database management programs (TOAD, SQL Developer, PL/SQL Developer)
Basic knowledge of Oracle database architecture
Strong communication skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering (or related discipline) or equivalent engineering experience

It's an advantage to have

Oracle DBA experience
Database clustering and high availability
Distributed data architecture
Experience in Systems, software, network and hardware architectures
Rational Data modeller
Basic knowledge of UNIX shell scripting

Code, test, and document complex database programs to ensure that data processing production systems
Enhance existing programs
Work closely with end users in delivering high-quality application solutions
Act interchangeably as team lead, designer and technical resource
Create efficient data transformation routines
Provide data analysis and validation
Identification of performance issues on production and testing systems
PL/SQL and SQL Tuning and Optimization of newly developed and existing applications
Interact with internal and external clients to understand requirements, explain issues and prioritize work
Provide mentoring, guidance and training to less-experienced programmers in order to improve productivity and efficiencies
