Front-End Developer

• Degree in computer science or similar field or equivalent practical experience;
• at least 5 years of experience in developing customer focused front-end systems;
• Experience with various JS frameworks (AngularJs, BackboneJs, EmberJs, jQuery);
• Work experience with CoffeeScript;
• JavaScript unit testing is a plus (Jasmine, Karma, QUnit);
• Excellent knowledge of Photoshop and HTML W3C validation;
• Good knowledge of CSS Frameworks (Bootstrap, Less, Sass);
• Experience with various techniques for website optimization;
• SEO knowledge is a plus;
• Iterative and incremental software development.

• Lead development of applications and services;
• Design software that works reliably, securely and at scale;
• Obsessively test the software that you build
• Participate in code review;
• Communicate clearly about status, problems and ideas with other developers, managers, users and stakeholders;
• Invent, propose, prototype and deliver new ways of building better Technology at Macmillan;
