Requirements

University degree in IT/Telecoms
• +3 years relevant work experience
• Operational experience with many or all of the following platforms: Cisco routers, Cisco switches, Packet shapers and Juniper Firewalls
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to plan and estimate work efforts
• Strong operational and client focus
• In depth knowledge of data network connectivity solutions
• Strong communication and presentation skills to work well with, and in front of client technical staff and Sr. leadership.
• Strong technical background and analytical skills for appropriate design decisions and timely delivery of products.
• Knowledge of voice systems is ideal
• Data security/firewall management skills
•Good working knowledge with VPN , MPLS , BGP, EIRGP and OSPF technologies
•a CCNA + CCNP or CCIP or CCDP certification are required

Responsibilities

Serve as a point of contact for voice and data connectivity for projects moving to a GDN Centre
• Document and obtain sign off on requirements for voice and data connectivity
• Develop voice and data network designs to meet the client requirements
• Develop cost estimates for the voice and data network design
• Obtain GDN management approval for voice and data network designs
• Obtain project team signoff on design and costs
