The mission of the IBM Global Delivery Center in Bucharest is to provide customers with a seamless and secure solution to their global business needs.

The Centre is part of the long-term IBM vision for Global Delivery that includes Remote Delivery from India, China, Brasil and Romania.

The Bucharest Centre is a client oriented organization with specific technologies and a dedicated young team of professionals. The Center’s capability in terms of resources has increased exponentially in 2007. Furthermore, new technologies have been introduced and more partnerships have been agreed upon, both with international companies as well as with universities.

Requirements

- Faculty graduate (Computer Science, Mathematics, Cybernetics or similar) or Master’s student
- minimal experience in software development projects during the studies (OOP languages);
- experience with at least one programming language (C, Java, .NET, PHP etc.)
- experience with relational database;
- abilities to read / write code;
- awareness of the software development life cycle;
- basic debugging skills;
- involvement in NGOs or other extra-curricular activities highly appreciated;
- advanced English language skills
- advanced French language skills are a plus

Responsibilities

Systems and strong communication / interpersonal skills, basic business knowledge and strong analytical skills are required.

Candidates should be available to start on February 1st 2012.

Activities during the internship:
- training regarding IBM as a corporation and IBM Romania - departments & activities;
- soft skills training for certain abilities - communication, team work, planning& organizing, presentation
skills;
- common session regarding hardware, software and services and workshops depending on the professional interest of the interns;
- project tasks in frame of a development project on which interns will need to work together and share information and knowledge with the team members.

- After 3 months of internship all the suitable candidates will be offered the option of a full time position in IBM.
