REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications:
- University degree in computer science
- At least 2-3 years of general experience in network management and/or telecom or any other relevant related experience.

Technical knowledge:
- Good knowledge and experience on Cisco, Checkpoint and Riverbed products
- Good knowledge of TCP/IP, OSPF, STP, as well as standard LAN and VLAN protocols
- Good knowledge and experience of technologies Lanx, MPLS and VPN
- Knowledge on analysis and interpretation in several datas decoding
- Good knowledge and experience in technologies mostly based on Microsoft (Windows Server, Exchange Server, SharePoint, Arcserv and Citrix)
- Knowledge in wide and complex environments (Lan/Wan/Man/VPN, ...) is an advantage
- IP Telephony (Cisco Call Manager, Cisco Unity and Voice Gateway) is an advantage
- Knowledge of H323, MGCP and SIP protocols is an advantage

General knowledge:
- Fast learning and a great motivation to learn
- Capacity to react fast for situation analysis, prepare diagnosis and establish an action

Responsibilities

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Within the group surveillance and support center (Network Operations Center), the intermediary analyst with Telecom specialization will be mostly implicated on its specialization to ensure functional analysis and technical support for any relative problem to equipments or infrastructure applications related to telecom and still have the opportunity to increase his knowledge in other fields (Server, email, remote access, Web access). Moreover, he will have to do services availability surveillance for active infrastructure in different SNC-Lavalin business units and project sites. Its tasks will require continuous collaboration with the GIT services center group, the implementation/maintenance group and the external GIT resources.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Diagnose and solve hardware and application problems mostly related to telecom.
- Diagnose and solve problems regarding IP Telephony infrastructure (Cisco Call Manager, Cisco Unity and Voice Gateway).
- Manage and surveillance of main infrastructure components in different business units and project sites.
- Causes analysis and document occurred incidents.
- Identify and report performance problems due to hardware or to links.
- Escalade to specialized technical resources for complex cases.
