• University Degree in computer science or economic computer science or a similar faculty
• 5 years experience in software testing and/or development
• Good hands on knowledge of J2EE server side components, enterprise design patterns, EJB components and technologies. Mainly JMS with message driven beans (MDBS) - Stateless session beans - Entity beans. Candidates should have a good working knowledge of basic software design patterns used in modern server side development
• Good SQL skills, ideally with exposure to the Oracle RDBMS
• Knowledge of XML (xsd) Schema definition (used in the interface definition between various internal applications)
• UNIX/AIX shell knowledge, ideally bash and Perl scripting
• Ability to take ownership and initiative to work as a single contributor and within a distributed team
• Familiarity with a Java IDE (preferably Eclipse) and with Junit and Jmeter or similar plugins
• Familiarity with version control software and bug tracking systems (preferably SVN and Bugzilla).
• Problem solving and analytical skills.
• Customer focus and enthusiasm for innovative and challenging solutions.
• Excellent Communication Skills and proficiency in English and German

Responsabilitati

• Analyzes business and technical documentation end elaborates test plans, test scenarios and test cases
• Takes part in review and planning meetings
• Assesses resource requirements for specific testing tasks and plans the tasks accordingly
• Executes test plans and test sequences and verifies the fulfillment of the test cases, on any level from unit testing to system integration testing, using both black-box and white-box techniques
• Accurately reports to the management on the progress of his/her work, estimated remaining time for task completion and similar
